Liposuction

Liposuction, contrary to certain preconceived ideas, is not a method of slimming, nor of course a treatment for obesity.

One cannot lose weight significantly with even a major liposuction.

The principle of liposuction is to achieve a non-traumatic and harmonious aspiration of fat cells called “adipocytes”. Non-traumatic cannulas for the tissues are introduced from very small skin incisions, perfectly hidden.

This technique of cosmetic surgery can be proposed to improve the silhouette by acting on :

• the “saddlebags” or “peritrochanterian” area.
• hips
• the abdomen
• the thighs
• the knees (especially the inner side)
• calves
• the ankles
• arms

Thanks to the use of fine cannulas, liposuction is also applicable on the face to improve the oval and on the neck to correct a double chin.

The incisions made during a liposuction are reduced to a minimum, from 3 to 6 mm.

The scars are very discreet, as they are hidden in a natural fold, and most often hidden by underwear.

Post-operative bruising and swelling for 2 to 4 weeks. Pain varies from patient to patient, depending on the amount of liposuction.

Sports activities can be resumed after 3 weeks. An elastic support garment such as a “girdle” will be worn for 3 to 6 weeks.

IMPORTANT

The results will only be visible after the oedema has been resorbed, i.e. after 3 weeks, and definitive after 6 months. The skin will slowly retract and adapt to your new silhouette after 3 months.
