Pain is the main disadvantage of the old laser machines. Their head deposited the energy in a diffuse way, both in the hair but also in the skin around the hair. This lack of precision was directly responsible for the pain that some women were familiar with.

The latest generation machines take this problem into account, and reduce the discomfort felt in different ways:

  • by optimising energy targeting in the hair and the bulb (improved efficiency, no diffusion).
  • by a cooling system included in the laser head

In the end, with the new machines, each laser impact is almost painless, the sensation felt like an elastic band snapping on contact with the skin.
