Classic calcifications are visible on mammography after fat transfer to the breasts. But these calcifications are different from those seen in breast cancer and do not pose diagnostic problems for experienced radiologists.

To date, there is no scientific evidence to suggest that breast augmentation by fat transfer could lead to the development of breast cancer.
