• Round or symmetrical prostheses

In profile, these so-called “round” prostheses are perfectly symmetrical. They provide more volume in the upper part of the breast compared to anatomical implants. If the prostheses are rotated in the breast after the operation following a possible trauma, the shape of the breasts remains identical, which is not the case with the anatomical prostheses presented below.

  • Anatomical prostheses

From the side, these anatomical prostheses are drop-shaped, providing more projection in the lower part of the breast. They are asymmetrical, reproducing the shape of a natural breast. On the other hand, they have the disadvantage of being able to rotate in the breast and thus deform it (low but existing risk). The choice of the type of prosthesis to be used will be made during preoperative consultations with your plastic surgeon, according to the wishes and expectations of the patient.
