Like breast implants, there are many different types of buttock implants. Manufacturers of buttock prostheses also make breast prostheses, and there is a fairly similar range between the two families.

There are round prostheses with different projections, with flat or slightly concave bottom, and anatomical prostheses which offer the advantage of placing a larger projection in one place but with the disadvantage of being able to rotate in the body and thus change the shape of the buttock after the operation.

These are prostheses filled with cohesive silicone gel, whose envelope is very resistant, allowing them to withstand the stresses of sitting.
