The scars are located in a semi-circle under the nipple in case of removal of the mammary gland alone. If mastopexy is performed, the scars are hidden depending on the extent of ptosis:

  • around the areola
  • around the areola and vertically to the submammary fold

In case of predominant adipomastia, liposuction is also performed alone or in combination with a semi-circular scar under the areola. The scars corresponding to the liposuction procedure alone are concealed and millimetric.
