Regarding the shape of the breasts desired after breast augmentation, you should know that the final shape of your breasts after implants are placed will depend primarily on the shape of your breasts before the operation.<\/p>\n

Whatever the type of breast implant used, the projection, shape, and position of the prosthesis in relation to the pectoralis major muscle (pre-pectoralis, retro-pectoralis or Dual-Plan), very schematically, if the breast is in “apple” it will remain in “apple” after augmentation, and in the same way if it is in “pear”, it will be difficult to transform it into apple only with the implant placement.<\/p>\n

The qualified plastic surgeon that you will choose has mastered the various techniques for placing breast implants. The choice of the right prosthesis and the right volume (depending on the case), the choice of the right approach (position of the scar), the final position of the submammary fold (which is often changed voluntarily after breast augmentation), the position of the prosthesis in relation to the pectoral muscle …<\/p>\n

All these parameters are crucial, and a careful study of each case operated on allows us to get very close to the result desired by the patient. If the surgeon thinks that the expected result is not attainable, it is also his duty to inform the patient so as to avoid post-operative disappointment.<\/p>\n

The other important point often mentioned by patients is to avoid a large gap between the two breasts. They generally want a narrow inter-mammary valley, and therefore an advantageous cleavage. This is what Anglo-Saxons call “cleavage”.<\/p>\n

First of all, it is obviously easier to obtain this result if the natural gap between the two breasts is already small. The breasts have developed over the entire breast base, so breast augmentation with prostheses will give a very good result most of the time.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, if the breasts are naturally separated from each other significantly, it will be much more complicated to bring them closer together and obtain the hoped-for “cleavage”.<\/p>\n

However, here again, refined internal Dual Plan techniques, the choice of wide base breast prostheses, and additional augmentation by localized internal lipofilling often make it possible to significantly improve the situation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
