COMPOSITE BREAST AUGMENTATION

Composite breast augmentation is a recent surgical procedure that combines 2 procedures in 1:

Breast augmentation with breast implants AND lipofilling (fat injection) performed around the implants.

This technique makes it possible to obtain the most natural breast augmentation results possible even in the thinnest patients. This procedure avoids the appearance of demarcation in the cleavage, which is often visible after breast augmentation.

In addition, the patient benefits at the same time from liposuction on the desired areas.

What are the advantages of a composite breast augmentation ?

  • The fat re-injected around the breast prosthesis makes it possible to obtain a more natural, more supple touch. The breast prosthesis is no longer directly under the skin of a very thin patient, but covered with a thickness of fat, allowing this difference in texture.

  • The shape of the breast is also considerably improved as a whole, especially in the décolleté and the space between the 2 breasts (inter-mammary valley). The fat is re-injected to hide the upper and inner edge of the prostheses, to obtain a décolleté with a gentle slope and thus avoid demarcation.
  • The space between the 2 breasts can also be reduced thanks to this fat reinjection technique. Indeed, some patients naturally have a large gap between the 2 breasts.
  • The placement of breast implants alone does not satisfactorily reduce this gap. This composite breast augmentation technique does, however, make it possible, thus contributing to obtaining a beautiful décolleté.

  • Finally, the patient benefits during the same operation from a very natural looking breast augmentation and liposuction on areas that she may find unsightly.

What are the surgical consequences of a composite breast augmentation ?

The post-operative follow-up of your composite breast augmentation will be carried out personally by Dr. Dumas and Dr. Gasnier in Nice or Monaco / Beausoleil.

They will see their patients again for dressing changes at D1 or D2, then D8 and D15. A special support bra will be worn after the operation for 30 to 45 days. A rest period of 8 to 10 days is recommended in the aftermath.

The progressive resumption of sport will take place after 4 to 6 weeks. The final result of a composite breast augmentation (prostheses and fat) is judged 4 to 6 months after the operation.
